3Rs - set your home conservation plan!

Set your home conservation plan.

We should start with reducing the source of waste. Then think about how to reuse waste and the last thing should be recycle.

Reduce/Reduction: to make something smaller or use less, resulting in a smaller amount of waste.

You can "reuse" materials in their original form instead of throwing them away, or pass those materials on to others who could use them too!

Recycle—don’t just toss everything in the trash. Lots of things (like cans, bottles, paper, and cardboard) can be remade into either the same kind of thing or new products. Making new items from recycled ones also takes less energy and fewer resources than making products from brand new materials.

Brainstorming and KWL chart

What are you going to do today?
  1. Select 1-2 brainstorming words and pick good points to find out what they know. Fill in "What I know about" in the KWL chart. You can use the posters on board, pictures on blog and rewatch the Brainpop video.
  2. Think of "What I want to Know". Come up with research questions for our unit and fill in the KWL chart. Also write down new vocabulary on the W part that you want to learn.
